Why are we different?

Updated: Dec 6, 2022

When you want a hairbrush you open up a page online, click 'buy,' and it shows up within a few days. We've become conditioned to get whatever we want, whenever we want it, and for cheap. The problem is that the price and time is being paid for- just somewhere else. It may take a long time before we feel the repercussion of our shortcuts, but eventually they will catch up to us.

So this is us- deliberately taking the "hard-cut." What happens when we go back to the roots (in this case somewhat literally) and create the things we love from our soil and from the ground up?

I was worried when I first began this journey because I felt like there was no way someone would choose my work over the cheap imported knockoff.

I was wrong. People have confirmed to me, over and over again- they love handcrafted, locally made, personal art.

And it doesn't get more personal than this.
